We believe that ROAR is a bit different from some rescue organizations.
1. We allow foster families to select their own foster animal(s) if they so chose, or you can leave the selection up to us based on your application or the need of the animals we currently have.
2. We do not strive to have high numbers of animals saved in a short time. We are looking at the long-term success.
3. We allow foster families to learn and take on some autonomy with respect to screening applicants, completing adoptions and following up with adoptive families. You are never alone, as we have a great team of fosters.
All ROAR foster animals are to be housed indoors. We recommend use of a crate when unable to be supervised until the foster animal's behavior is known to be trustworthy. Some of these animals have had their lives turned upside down. The more things we can teach these animals, the better their chance of a successful adoption. It is the responsibility of the foster family to help their foster become the best family pet they can learn to be. Then celebrate when he/she goes off to begin that life you made possible!
Thank you for completing this application. Although we make every effort to contact applicants quickly, please be patient as we are an all-volunteer organization. If you have not heard from us within one week of sending your application, please contact us at roar4dogs@gmail.com.
